National Homeownership Month

 Homeownership is an essential part of the American Dream! This month, we celebrate National Home Ownership Month and those whose success and determination have helped make them homeowners. June also brings hope and excitement to those who are pursuing home ownership. It’s common knowledge that the benefits of owning a home go way beyond building wealth. Home ownership gives people a place to build their life memories, a place to raise families, a place to celebrate with those we care about, and a place of our own that gives us stability and a sense of pride within our communities. Home ownership changes lives and enhances futures.

Your Employee Home Ownership Program recognizes the month of June as a pivotal time to reaffirm our core mission, education. While education is a strong focus of the Employee Home Ownership Program year-round, the month of June brings a renewed commitment with many new tools and tips that aspiring home owners can use. The new resources are designed to help ALL employees, regardless of their experience level. The home ownership program is open to all employees whether they are a first time buyer, purchasing their 10th home, downsizing, or they want to buy an investment property.

In addition to education, your home ownership benefit can connect you with special financing programs available for eligible employees such down payment grants, down payment assistance programs, low down payment loans, veteran loans, and many more. In addition, most employees enjoy significant savings on loan fees and real estate commissions (in states where allowed by law).

As part of the program’s pledge to expanding the educational opportunities for employees, June marks the roll out of our new webinar series: Homeownership 101: Preparation and Smart Choices. 75% of Americans think the home buying process is complicated, and it is. Home buying and financing may seem fairly straightforward, but it can actually be quite a bit more complicated than expected. When preparing to buy your first home or entering back into homeownership, or if you haven’t been through the home buying process for a few years, getting yourself properly prepared can save you a lot of time, money and frustration.
